A Nationwide Warehousing and Shipping Solution
Many manufacturers rely on us to provide their dealers and retail customers with a prompt and cost effective warehouse and delivery service. Our strategic location allows us to affordably ship packages overnight to anywhere in the U.S. by using a combination of reliable carriers. Degelman has negotiated substantially reduced rates on LTL
and full load rates with several national carriers. Discounts are passed along
to the manufacturer or shipment recipient. Many locations can be reached by
ground transport within one day. Our reduced delivery rates often compensate
for any applicable warehousing charges. In addition, many manufacturers make
use of Degelman as a centralized "Warranty return depot" for their U.S. dealers.
Several manufacturers store inventory at their discretion in our Minot warehouse. Degelman will immediately ship this product
using the most cost and time effective method possible. Several manufacturers
rely on Degelman to break down bulk goods into individual unit or multi unit
packages. At predetermined intervals the manufacturer receives a summary of shipments (both inbound and outbound).
Hours of Operation and Shipment Expectations:
One of our greatest strengths is our accessibility and our people's commitment to getting things done right and on time.
We start our commitment to personalized service by having a real, live
receptionist answer our telephones. Our regular business hours are Monday to
Friday, 7:30AM to 5:00 PM. If you have a special request
or concern our corporate culture demands that we respond to you, same day. Our
staff do not "hide behind their voice mail".
Of course you can rely on us to ship all orders the same day when requested
during normal business hours. We conveniently ship anywhere in the U.S. by
common carrier, (ground or air) or by our own fleet of heavy transport
equipment.
We know that many of our manufacturing and dealer partners expect more than just "regular business hours" from their equipment. They've come to expect more than that from our warehouse and shipping services as well. We are available with "emergency shipment service" after hours, on weekends and during major holidays. This is something that we're proud of and, for our valued business partners, we offer this service at no extra charge.
Transcape Shipping System
We use an advanced shipping system called "Transcape". This is
a sophisticated system that combines computer hardware, software and on-line
connectivity to instantly search most available options for shipping products
to dealers and farming customers. Shipping companies have a myriad of
abilities, options and promotions that change on a regular basis.
Our
Transcape system will summarize all available options and shipment information
including: delivery date and time, price and service guarantee. By using this
system our people can help ensure prompt delivery as well as save your
customers a substantial portion of shipment costs and often get them their
parts quicker than more expensive methods.
In addition to finding the most appropriate and cost effective rate, Transcape
also allows us to perform periodic performance audits of our carriers. Our
people can develop a confidence in (or lack thereof) for a specific carrier
and their ability to deliver on time.
We also use an automated e-mail shipment
notification system that will notify the recipient of the pending delivery and
communicate tracking #'s and actual shipping charges. Our delivery assignments
are polled every 15 minutes to provide extremely current and prompt
communication of pending deliveries

Without a doubt, our biggest strength is our people. At Degelman we go beyond merely handling boxes and take a genuine interest in our customer's products and their needs. We are always accessible and have a long history of doing whatever is necessary to ensure your complete satisfaction.
Degelman Transport
Degelman runs it's heavy transport equipment to and from Canada on a regular basis. We are capable of hauling the largest AG implements or a small crate of parts. Over width or special permit loads can be arranged within the U.S. We make several visits between Canada and Minot each week and might be in a position to provide convenient transportation of your products to our warehouse. Inventory Control & Audits
Degelman runs a "perpetual" inventory audit. We perform a physical audit on a representative portion of your inventory every 4 weeks. A complete inventory is performed annually (at a date chosen by you). These services are performed at no extra charge. We welcome you to be in attendance or to perform your own inventory audit at any time. We also offer the services of a local accounting firm to perform an audited inventory check at your discretion.
